It’s time for the monthly box review, and this month’s choice of boxing is the Goodness Me Box. Before we review, I’d like to point out that this is in no way affiliated. On my own health journey, I purchase these boxes to enrich my own healthy lifestyle and love to share them with you so you can do the same!
The August Goodness Me Box Review
Last week I posted up on Instagram my August Goodness Me Box reveal and all the amazing products within! I have been subscribing through Goodness Me Box for over 2 years now, and each box is different but still as amazing as the last!
Each month’s box comes with a theme, whether that be a certain healthy habit like detoxing, snacking, or a holiday like Easter, with some fantastic vegan or paleo chocolate varieties inside. Goodness Me Box is an Australian company, and they support other Australian health companies as well – so by subscribing, you are supporting the Australian economy and our precious jobs there-in!
Goodness Me Box really go above and beyond to supply their subscribers with only the best options each month at only $25aud – hense why I continue to subscribe through them.
Plus, it’s so nice to open up your very own little pressie each month, not knowing exactly what is going to be inside!
And another bonus, each month if you post a view of your box up on Insta, and tag the companies, you go into the running for a pretty amazing goodie! They even throw in a recipe card in the box too. SO SO SO MANY GOODIES!
They really are an amazing company with great customer service.
So without further ado, let’s open up the box!
Inside the Box!
Below I’ve reviewed each of the products within, and thrown the link to the website for each so you can purchase if you wish!
Vida Glow Marine Collagen powder – flavours Peach and Pineapple
I actually hadn’t tried these before, I just ended up stocking them in my pantry alongside the teas. So this month, I was determined to try. Now, these little beauties are packed with goodness helping your body to restore collagen levels for healthy hair, nails and skin. They also have a Vida Glow Beauty Blend superfood blend, without collagen (so suitable for vegetarians!) which help this along as well!
The flavours Pineapple and Peach were the ones that I tested, and I have to say, these are healthy alternatives for the sugar laden flavoured waters you see in stores, besides the fact they actually help out your body. The flavours weren’t overpowering, but for me they did leave a little to be desired, as I thought they may taste like a complete flavoured drink. However, these can be thrown into other meals, not just water, like smoothies and yoghurts so it’s a really versatile product!
Cocobetty Coconut Oil Wipes, and The Goodnight Co Goodnight Tea
There is not a better combo than these two for a goodnight’s sleep, especially if you’ve had a hard day.
I found the Cocobetty Wipes to be amazing! Compact to throw in your bag if you need to, they clean your face while removing makeup, and the coconut oil feels so hydrating, it’s really a two-in-one cleanser and moisturiser. I will definitely be buying a pack of them for the busy days, or when on holiday!
The Goodnight Co Goodnight Tea was.. different! But as all herbal teas go, it was a strong flavour and easy to prep. I loved that you could literally see the flowers in the mix so it was quite luxurious really – being all girly I am right now! It calmed me down after the day, and I did have a good night sleep that night, but can’t put it down to the tea without testing over a few nights!
Little did I know until now stumbling onto their website, they don’t just do teas! They have pillow cases, eye masks and even crystals that promote sleep, and when you subscribe you get 15% off your first order – whatttt. Check them out!
The Super Greens + Reds Wholefood Multivitamin is probably one of the best superfood blends you could find to replace a multivitamin, but as a powder goes, for that sort of thing,.. I wasn’t too impressed, but I never am when it comes to green smoothie blends either. I’d much rather take this sort of thing in tablet form, which they actually have on their website (woo!). It was quite powdery to drink, but just like the Vida Glow sachets, you can add this into recipes as well, so it’s just as versatile! I love health foods..
Cobram Estate Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and 424 Below Sea Level Pink Salt and Organic Paprika
Omg, sweet potato fries anyone?? I decided to lump these two together into a meal and I was happy as Larry (whoever Larry is!) This wasn’t the first time I’d tried the Cobram Estate Oils, but I do love them, especially as they have an easy-to-use spout. My in-laws actually have the Lemon infused blend, and it smells amazing, and my lovely mother-in-law also said that if you go to Costco they have them in a pack for a great deal – winning!
The 424salt is a natural salt (from the dead sea) blended with paprika, and it was amazing on sweet potato fries, although I went a bit heavy. This is definitely a stronger salt (with larger granules too), but fantastic paired with the paprika. I definitely recommend trying this product!
Oh, and I served up my sweet potato fries with some Paleo Tangy BBQ Sauce by The Paleo Newbie, definitely try this recipe out – it is easy to make and great on many things, especially on the meatball recipe it comes with!
Knowrish Well Super Latte Blue Dream Tea
Blue tea anyone?? Oh, I loved trying this out! It literally is blue, and served warm, although would be just as delicious cold. It was really a dream, and had a different taste – you can definitely feel the smoothness of the cinnamon. I would recommend enjoying this tea by itself, as pairing it with anything else will just ruin it. It is amazing. DO TRY!
Knowrish Well also have a bunch of other amazing tea blends to check out on their website! They also have coconut chips, and one is Maple Bacon flavoured (OMG!), and Vegan friendly!
A. Vogel bioSnacky Original – Organically Grown Alfalfa Seeds
What could be better than growing your own organic foods in your own kitchen?? Them being alfalfa ones! I love my alfalfa but I do forget about it in the fridge, but with these amazing seeds, you can grow them on your bench continuously (and it’s seriously easy!). You can always have them at reach, as long as you have good time management skills! hehe
Now, I can’t completely review these as my little alfalfa seeds have just germinated so have probably another week or two to go, but the amount of seeds in the packet that you get, it is really worth the money! I love that this is now an option for us – how health conscious are we becoming! Go WORLD!
Dona Cholita White Corn Totopos
I’m saving the best for last ’cause these ones are amazing – truly! They are so crunchy with just the right amount of salt, and I had them with some homemade dip, and I did not share. I would imagine that these would be fantastic with some quac and salsa too!
The totopos are made from white corn and through a special process which allows them to be more easily digested by the body and allow the nutrients to be absorbed better as well!
Andddd, at the moment, they are giving you 40% off your first Goodness Me Box – even better!!!! Run over to their website to grab that offer before it’s gone!
So there you have it, this month’s box review from Goodness Me Box. They are only $25aud a month, and you’ll find the individual products themselves come to a lot more than $25 (the alfalfa seed packets are $9.90aud alone!). You have the option to purchase monthly, quarterly or yearly, and btw, if you check out their website, you also get some freebie pdfs to help you along your health journey.
Ahh, I love them so much! So off you go, check them out and if you subscribe, come back here and tell me what you think, or if you are already a current subscriber, tell me what you think of their products!
