It’s time for the monthly box review, and this month’s choice of boxing is the VeganCuts Beauty Box. Before we review, I’d like to point out that this is in no way affiliated. On my own health journey, I purchase these boxes to enrich my own healthy lifestyle and love to share them with you so you can do the same!
The September VeganCuts Beauty Box Review
Now, I’ve got a list of boxes to review each month, as I’m a bit of a health research fanatic and trying to find some good products for myself and my family to use instead of the GMO riddled, and animal-cruel body products every where these days. So, upon finding a bunch of boxes to subscribe to, I found the VeganCuts website.
VeganCuts is a USA based business specialising in box subscriptions filled with vegan and cruelty-free products for you to try. They have three boxes available – a snack box, this beauty box, and a makeup box which is available seasonally (so quarterly through the year). They give free shipping for people living in the USA, but do ship worldwide (thank goodness!), and I paid $23USD for the box below, which is pretty good if you ask me.
Each box comes with between 4-7 new products, which as I said are vegan and cruelty-free and together would range between $40-$60 so your definitely getting your money’s worth subscribing that’s for sure!
So without further ado, let’s open up the box!
Now, I have to admit that I’m quite lazy when it comes to moisturising, but my body doesn’t really need it. Correction – hasn’t really needed it. After our trip to Tazzy last month, my legs were so dry it was incredible! And this beauty came in the mail just in time. With one application (100% honest), my skin wasn’t dry. It improved so much within a few days (I only wish I had taken a photo to show you – personal note for next time!). The smell is very much woody due to the Minnesota Tamarack Larch Tree extract, but I loved it! Something about natural products that smell natural, really makes me feel like I’m doing some good for myself!
I loooooooove Rosehip Oil. I swear by it. I have two sets of organic Rosehip oil in my bathroom already – one is in drip form which I add to my face moisturiser each night, and the other is a roll-on I put onto my acne and scars, and it slowly diminishes them. So when I read the bottle and found Rosehip Oil as an ingredient, I was a little excited, especially as this face serum claims to reduce pigmentation (thanks to the little man during pregnancy). It also brightens skin (as the name suggests) and helps reduce free radical damage, and improve the skin’s elasticity. I can’t say I’ve seen an improvement as I’ve only been using it for about a week, but what I can say is that it smells amazing, and it feels good when applying. It is smooth to massage in, but I do suggest only using a little bit at first as it does go a long way. The first time I applied it I felt like I was swimming in oil trying to get to sleep that night! haha.
OMG. Talk about freshness in a bottle. This stuff is amaze-balls and for only $10, I suggest you by this now! Seriously! I love the smell it has and it instantly lifts your mood when you spritz it onto yourself. I love to mist myself with this before I start a meditation as it is sooo calming, and it lingers for a while too (which is an extra bonus!).
100% Pure Gemmed Lip Gloss – Citrine – $26
I was ecstatic when I opened the box and found this lipgloss! Who knew you could get such amazing quality lipgloss and it’s 100% natural?? I was a bit unsure of the colour, but it is sheer, and the glitter is amazing! It is a little sticky but for the effect it has on the lips and it is hydrating, I look past that. They have a ton of different shades on their website, and I seriously will be trying out their Sugar Plum sheer lip gloss next!
Now, I’ve always been a bit of a sceptic about using oil to clean – it seems a little counter intuitive when you think of acne, and how oily your face can get. I tried this anyway, and I was happy with how it went! I massaged it on before hopping into the shower and washing my face (I read online that the water helps to get the oil into the pores and clear them out that way), and it seemed to do the job while leaving a bit of oil on the skin which when I hopped out of the shower, felt very hydrating! Needless to say, I’ve been using this on my face every night since and I’m really happy with the way it works!
In conclusion, I’m really happy with the products that were in the VeganCuts Beauty box, and I am looking forward to trying out their snack and makeup box (especially the makeup box).
Do you have a special box that you subscribe to frequently, and wouldn’t mind sharing – through me a comment below, especially if you have a great natural product that you love! I’m constantly looking for new healthy body products to replace the old, and GMO products, so please don’t forget to share with me!
