Hellooo everyone! It’s been a long time since I’ve posted, mainly because life has been throwing me a few curve balls as of late with growing a baby, looking after my first baby, and well, everything that is life right? I will be doing a catch up email this week, but today I’m posting because I was nominated for the Liebster Award (and I’m a little behind on the band wagon – woops!)
I was nominated by AmyMegan, who has a lovely blog, writing about all different things as she makes her way through university – definitely go and check her out, she is such a sweet spirit!
Now, the purpose of the Liebster Award is for bloggers to provide each other a platform to be discovered, which hopefully allows people to find other bloggers they are interested in!
The rules of this award are really easy to follow:
- Acknowledge the blog who nominated you.
- Answer the 11 questions that your nominator has asked you.
- Nominate 11 other bloggers (with followers under 200).
- Ask them 11 questions.
- Let them know you have nominated them.
I think this is such a wonderful way to share the amazing bloggers out there, either just starting or building up their rep! You never know what you can learn from somebody..
So here are the questions that AmyMegan has asked me to answer, so let’s get to it!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere in the world,.. it would have to be Italy. I’m a secret foodie, as is Mister B, so going to Italy would be an amazing trip for us, but not just for the food! The scenery, the buildings, the people – I probably would stay there honestly!!!
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
This is going to sound so weird, and I did sit here for a minute thinking about this one, but it would have to be a chicken caesar salad (yep, out of all the food in the world, I want to eat a salad for the rest of my life). I looove caesar salad though, all of it, parmesan.. croutons.. chicken. And I have to say, staying skinny wouldn’t be so bad either!
Second best was lasagne…
When did you decide you wanted to create a blog?
I have ALWAYS wanted to have a blog, a successful blog. When I was a teenager, I had the blog ‘The Teenage Dirtbag’, and I created graphic designs for people with celebrities and song lyrics etc in them. I loved it, and I’ve been obsessed since. I’ve created a few since then which life got in the way of, but I’m hoping that Healthy and Golden really sticks around as I will be accompanying it with my soon-to-be health coaching business!
If you could swap lives with one person for a day, who would it be?
Ooooo, tricky! I would be happy to swap with any rich person that has their own island – I’d love to sit on the beach and have cocktails served to me, to swim in the ocean privately (hopefully not get eaten by a shark), you catch my drift..
Describe a favourite memory you have from when you were growing up.
I have so many favourite memories of my girls in high school, but my favourite was when we created our own band, and decided to do a photo shoot for ourselves at one of the girls houses. The photos came out so cool (at the time), and are hilarious to look at now, made in the mid 2000’s but they somewhat look like they are from the 80’s.
What are your handbag essentials?
My handbag essentials are my clutch, phone, paw paw ointment, earphones, my sparkling natural lipgloss, Impulse spray, and I’ve usually always got an oat bar or healthy snack for Mister C when we are out, just in case he get’s hangry.
What is your favourite beauty brand?
My new favourite beauty brand is an Australian company called Dusty Girls, specialising in natural makeup products. I love them all and they are seriously great prices!
Choose 3 words you would use to describe yourself.
Hmm. Chatty, laid back, passionate.
What is one motto you live by?
Live by your dreams. This is something my late sister wrote to me once, and now I try my best to live my life how I want it to be.
Which memory of 2017 is your favourite?
2017 was a crazy year, but it would definitely be my ‘before-wedding’ honeymoon trip to Tasmania, here in Aus. Spending a week alone with Mister B after 5 years together – it was a nice time away to recuperate and get back in touch with each other. The food was really great and I got to see snow fall for the first time!!
What plans do you have in 2018 that you are looking forward to?
So many plans!! We have a baby boy due in May, hoping to move/buy a house this year in preparation for Mister C starting school next year, and we are also getting married this August! Let alone, I’ll be qualified this year and hopefully starting up my business. It’s a big year full of so many achievements!
There we go! And with that done, I am now nominating the following 11 bloggers!
